Phishing scams are fraudulent acts where someone attempts to gain your personal information through pretending to be, or pretending to represent, a trusted entity. This could be anything from trying to get your passwords, 2FA codes, or credit card details.
We encourage our Oobit clientele to take the utmost precaution when coming across unusual phone calls, emails, or smses from entities that have not reached out before, or that you have not been in contact with.
Never share your personal details and sensitive information like pins, passwords, verification codes or credit card details over the phone.
As we donβt reach out via phone calls you should never expect a call from Oobit. Across all our platforms please note that we will never ask you for the following:
- your username
- your passwords
- to change or remove or your security settings
- For your 2FA one time code
- request access to your devices via remote desktop access software
When accessing the Oobit website, always check the url is https://www.oobit.com/ and that there is a lock icon on the left. Never click links from emails.
We will also never contact you via Social Media asking for any information, all support is handled through email and the Live Chat feature on our app.
