Once a transaction is verified and added to the relevant blockchain, the transaction gets a transaction hash/hash ID. This unique string of letters and numbers is essentially the “title” of the transaction and can be found at the top of the transaction (in the blockchain explorer) or in the URL (see image below). The transaction hash/hash ID can then be used to look up the transaction on the blockchain and establish its progress.
Each blockchain uses different explorers, and transaction hash/hash ID may differ somewhat from cryptocurrency to cryptocurrency. Below are several options for exploring the blockchain of various networks:
