What is a spending limit?
When you connect your own wallet with WalletConnect, you approve a spending limit. This is the most Oobit can take from that wallet to fund your card purchases.
You sign the approval once, in your wallet. No money moves when you set it.
For each card purchase, only the exact amount (plus the fee) is taken from your wallet. You don't need to sign each purchase.
When the limit is used up or expires, approve a new one to keep paying from that wallet.
You need a verified Oobit account and an active card to pay with WalletConnect, as purchases are made with your Oobit card.
Why can't I set my spending limit?
Check the network. WalletConnect supports Tron, Arbitrum and other EVM networks, and Solana. If your funds are on another network, they won't show up.
Check the asset. Only supported stablecoins, such as USDT and USDC, can be used. The current list is shown in the app.
Check your wallet app. Make sure it's up to date and that you approve the request in your wallet. Requests left pending for more than about 20 minutes are marked as failed, so try again.
Not seeing WalletConnect at all? The feature is rolling out gradually, so it may not be available on your account yet.
Alternative: you can always deposit funds into your Oobit balance and pay from there instead.
